My weekend was eventful, to say the least.
I must admit, I did not think it through when I agreed to attend that birthday party. As much as I adore the little boy, I might have declined if I had realized that I was going to meet his entire family. As awkward as it was to be interrogated by his eldest sister, I did manage to enjoy myself.
Luckily, I was able to spend Sunday in the usual manner. I do not feel ready to start the week without a day of relaxation.

It is entirely possible that this is an idiotic suggestion, but...
How would you like to run away with me?
I have no desire to spend time with the parental units. I know that sounds horrible, but it is the truth. Instead of going home, I was thinking about taking a vacation... somewhere warm and tropical is what most often comes to mind. Imagine laying in the sun and walking in the ocean. It would be my treat, of course. Does this appeal to you at all? It would be nice to have some company.

I had an incredibly busy day. That is nothing new, though. As soon as I have found something for dinner, I will be taking a long bath and heading to bed.

I find him filling my thoughts at the most inopportune times. That is both bothersome and pleasant. Occasionally, he makes me feel like a teenage girl. This is one of those moments. I do hope he will be returning to Chicago in the near future. I would like to see him again.

My parents have expressed displeasure in the fact that it has been over a year since I have visited them. I believe that I will have to remedy this in the near future. I will only been in the city a few days, but I hope to meet with a few old friends while I am there.

I always feel a little restless around the holidays. Does this happen to anyone else?

My parents want me to come home for the holidays. I do not know if I will be accepting their invitation, though. I would love to see them, but I am not sure if I can stand to be alone with my mother. She means well, but I do not enjoy her lectures on how I should be married with children.
I will definitely be spending Thanksgiving here in Chicago. Maybe I will go home for Christmas.
